Finally I got it all to compile.  mklinuximage that is.

I installed binutils 2.9.1 instead of 2.11 and installed gcc 2.95.2.

Just sending this email for anyone reading the archives that ends up
with the same problem.

The only question I have now is this: 

Is there any way to create executables to run under linux using these
images, so that testing of kernels could be done from a remote console.

I wish to use the oskit libraries to build a kernel, but i wish to test
and access the machines remotely, and thus, can not reset the computer
to test the kernels over the web.

Any ideas appreciated.
