This works for me, but I tried it with the latest snapshot. I don't know
what version of the OSKit you are runnning since you did not provide that
information in your message.

Take a look at Chapter 12 "Minimal C Library" and Chapter 18 "FreeBSD C
Library" in the Oskit documentation. The first couple of paragraphs of each
section provide a reasonably clear explanation of the differences. Let us
know if you have any further questions about it.
