Even more, GPLed code can be a valuable tool during the development
process of commercial products: while certain modules of proprietory code
have not been implemented, GPLed libraries, etc. may be substituted to
perform testing on usable prototype. This can improve the quality and
stability of the finished product and improves the reputation of "free
software" in the industry.
