Subject: [*] FTP QuoEdit mini 1.0.3

"QuoEdit mini", a little version of plain text editor "QuoEdit", is for
use on small system of System 7.1 or later. (7.0 may be also OK.)
It's free.

This tiny application is still WorldScript savvy in editing and search,
supports four levels of undo and redo for each document, and has useful
shortcut keys.

This version 1.0.3 fixed a minor bug and got some changes for future
compatibility.

Enjoy!

Subject: [*] Program Switcher v5.6.0

Program Switcher is a convenient, timesaving control panel that allows you
to switch between the applications running on your System 7.1 through 9.x
Macintosh via a simple two-key keystroke. It was inspired by the same
function found in "Windows," but has been improved and transformed into a
unique and fully configurable control panel that makes switching
applications on the Macintosh as simple as pressing a couple of keys.

Key features include:

    - The ability to switch, launch, quit, or hide any application with a
simple keystroke
    - The ability to switch, hide, or close windows with a simple keystroke
    - Full support for the latest MacOS technologies, such as Appearance,
Navigation Services, and Multiple Users.
    - Elegant, unobtrusive interface that makes the seemingly simple task of
switching applications truly simple and easy to do.
    - A powerful suite of user configurable hot keys, including such actions
as "Open File" and "Quit All Applications".

Program Switcher can be downloaded from it's web page at:

    http://www.programswitcher.com/

New in version 5.6.0 is the ability to define hot keys and add applications
to the launch/exclude lists by drag and drop from the Finder, plus a number
of minor bug fixes.

Subject: [*] Sproing! 1.0

Sproing uses flexible category lists to interact with files. Users create as
many file categories lists as they want and drag and drop to add items to
their categories lists. No matter how many categories and items are added to
Sproing! it never takes up any more screen space.

When it's needed, Sproing!, it springs into action. When it is not needed,
Sproing!, it springs out of the way but remains accessible via a small
button window that can be placed in any convenient location on the monitor
screen.

Subject: Acrobat and AppleEvents

I would like to parse some text that is in PDF format. The formatting for
this text is quite complex with super- and subscripts. My preference is to
use AppleScript to access the text along with the formatting, but Acrobat
Reader does not support AppleEvents as far as I can tell. I have tried
cutting and pasting to other word processing applications including
Microsoft Word and AppleWorks. Both of these applications lose or confuse
the formatting.

Does anyone have ideas on how to access the text character by character
along with formatting for each character? Any and all advice appreciated.

Thanks,

John McDonald
